Service and Advocacy is at the Heart of Everything We Do
The Zonta Club of Dallas was organized in May 1924, with 22 members, and was the first classified service club for executive and professional women in Dallas as a member club of Zonta International. Nearly 33,000 members belong to more than 1200 clubs in 66 countries and geographic areas. The yellow rose is the symbol of Zonta and the official colors are mahogany and gold. As a member of Zonta International, our club provides services that benefit women and children in Local, National and International programs such as
-
Period Poverty - Laaha - Ending Childhood Marriage - Climate Empowerment for Mozambique, Madagascar and South Sudan - Zonta Says No to Violence Against Women and Girls - ERA Drive the Vote.
As well as in the North Texas community by assisting in programs that benefit women and children including:
-
Offering Education Scholarships/Awards for women and high school girls - Partnering with Our Friends Place - working with Dallas Area Rape Crisis Center - Project Beloved - Literary projects - 16 Days of Activism - Partners with Fretz Park Library and raising funds for all of the above advocacies and services.
We invite you to attend and participate in our lunchtime meetings, fundraisers, and special events / activities. This will allow you to get to know our dynamic members and assess your interest in Zonta. The better you get to know us (and we get to know you) the better you can assess if Zonta Club of Dallas is a good fit for you.

On Thursday, March 26th we hosted the ERA Caravan - Driving the Vote! at the Fretz Park Public Library. These ladies are driving across America bringing awareness of the ERA Vote in congress to the communities where they stop. A wonderful history lesson about the women who originated the drive in 1916 was given along with photo opportunities to sit in the 1916 Saxon car - The Golden Flyer II - which is a duplicate of the original car driven regarding the 1920 Vote.
