WHAT IS ZONTA INTERATIONAL?

Zonta is a worldwide service organization that works with many different cultures and regions to advance the status of women. Zonta International was founded in 1919 in Buffalo, New York. Zonta now has 1,249 clubs in 67 countries and approximately 33,000 members. Zonta has consultative status with international agencies. Zonta maintains representatives at United Nations’ site in Geneva, New York, Paris, and Vienna.

  • the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ENESOC)

Consultative status with:

  • the United Nations Education, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)

  • the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF)

  • The International Labor Organization (ILO)

  • The Council of Europe

WHO ARE WE?

Zonta Club of Dallas was founded in 1924 and is the oldest service club in Dallas,Texas. We are directly affiliated with Zonta International, a 90-year global organization of executives and professionals in business working together to advance the status of women worldwide through service and advocacy.
